Community Outreach Program Overview

The House of Hope is a nonprofit organization celebrating 40 years in Mankato. We are a Drug and Alcohol treatment facility for men and women. A place for quality Rehabilitation, Education and Support in a Safe Drug-Free Environment.

The House of Hope is reaching out to the Greater Mankato and Fairmont Area communities, to offer an educational program to youth and their parents. Every community and parents have concerns about alcohol and drugs.

This program will be broken into 2 different parts

• For the youth, the program will be educating them more on making good choices. We will discuss peer pressure and the impact of drugs and alcohol. We will also present choices and distribute a handout for them to have, which gives them options to have fun without joining or being a part of the party scene.

• For the parents, the discussion will be generated towards looking for warning signs and what to be looking for. To have an open forum where parents can ask questions and discuss.
